Test Shots

Well, it is the 1st official test run for my Raynox DCR-250 Super MacroScan Conversion lens. These are some shots I got. From the shots I've got, you can clearly see that this conversion lens totally doesn't reduce the image quality at all.

You can even see the dust on the model car. Don't mistaken that the Ferrari logo is blurred, It was the printing problem on the model car.

This is a rose origami i made. The actual size is around 1.5cm x 1cm x 1cm. You can even see the folded lines and some fibers of the paper.
While showing you some macro shots I've got from my Raynox. Here is another from my kit lens.

If i have my Raynox back then, i think i could make a closer shot of the water droplet. But again, I might touch the plant and the droplet just drip off.

2nd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2010

This was the 1st time I shot using RAW format and I really experienced the difference in post production of it compared to JPEG format. Here are some shots I got from the Fiesta. I wasn't aware that there's some dust on the filter until i reviewed my shots yesterday.

4th Rawang Taekwondo Championship 2010

Well, there is no official photographer for this event, and I went there shooting just for fun since the organizers are my seniors. Here are some shot to share with you all.

The hall was quite dark, so most of my shots are underexposed since i needed fast shutter speed to get the still movement of the players. I could not get any good shots for the sparring event(all with ghosting effect) but got a few from the demonstration that I like it personally.

This may look cropped from the left side, but if I frame wider, there will be another person blocking the one who is kicking. Should have changed the angle a bit i guess.

I didn't like this when i 1st saw it, but then I like the way I composed it. I cropped the top off because the fluorescent light was too glaring. I also like the background. I moved the camera with the object while using 1/6 seconds shutter speed.

Raynox DCR-250 Super MacroScan Conversion lens

Got myself a macro conversion lens. The lens itself is of thread 49mm at the front and 43mm at its mounting thread. With the universal adapter that it's suitable for thread size 52mm to 67mm, it can b fitted to most of the lens. It has a magnification of 8 Diopter. Working distance is around 5cm away from object at focal length of 70mm. It's more comfortable to use lens with focal length range of 75mm-200mm as you will wont be couching too much.
Here are some shots of the lens and the adapter.

Yet to explore the capabilities of this conversion lens.

Dong Zen Temple, Jenjarum, Malaysia part 2

Here are more shots from Dong Zen Temple. Well, may not be very nice photos as this is the 1st time i bring along my tripod for night shots and i found out the tripod isn't stable at all. It shakes even when the wind blows. ==||| When set the camera on it with landscape orientation, through the lens, the frame is slanted. I guess I should put in a new STABLE tripod in my wish list. =D
